On The Way Laundry is being designed to collect only the information needed to provide laundry service, operate accounts, protect transactions and improve the experience. This draft must receive final legal review before production launch.

Information we may collect

Account and contact information, pickup and delivery addresses, order details, care preferences, communication choices, commercial account information, support requests and technical information used to protect the service.

Payments

Card data should be handled by the payment provider. Our systems should store provider tokens and transaction references rather than raw card numbers.

Location information

Address and route information can be used to verify service eligibility, plan pickup and delivery, provide proof of service and improve route reliability. Precise device location should be requested only when a feature genuinely requires it.

How information is used

To create and fulfill orders, communicate status, process payments, manage memberships, support customers, prevent abuse, measure performance, improve routes and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

Information may be shared with vendors that provide payments, communications, hosting, maps, routing, analytics, support or other services required to operate On The Way. Providers should receive only the data needed for their role.

Operator platform

Laundromats using On The Way Platform remain responsible for the customer data they collect through their branded business. Platform contracts should define controller, processor, retention and export responsibilities before general availability.

Retention and deletion

Production systems will use documented retention periods based on operational, legal, financial, fraud and customer support needs. Account deletion and legally required data requests will have a verified workflow.

Security

Security controls are designed around least privilege access, tenant isolation, audit history, encrypted secrets, payment tokenization, backups and monitored production systems. No system can promise absolute security.
